Browse the Gory Details Audio Libary: HERE

THE GORY DETAILS PROJECT represents an attempt to capture on audio a scandalously unscientific survey of first-person medical emergency narratives -- stories describing your broken bones, burns, cuts, poisonings, or any other accounts of personal medical traumas you'd care to share. The recordings will be streamed and archived and (in some cases) form the basis of original videos on Art of Bleeding's channel on YouTube.

GUIDELINES FOR RECORDINGS
Stories must recount your own true experiences. Major injuries, colorful minor injuries or any emergency-room-worthy illness are all suitable. Stories should be under a couple of minutes. Longer recordings and mistakes will be edited. Joke stories or stories that appear to be fabricated will be discarded. Please don't scrimp on details: the exact sound you heard when that ligament tore, the scent you smelled when your hair caught fire, etc.

ANONYMITY
Storytellers can identify themselves either by their real name, first name and last initial, or a pseudonym, but we do need some sort of name for cataloging. If you choose to leave an email contact, we can let you know in advance when and how your clip will be used. You may, if you choose, also provide a link you would like posted along with your recording when it goes online.
