For those of you away at Burning Man last Friday, we offer a second chance to see ART OF BLEEDING'S "Staying Calm in Emergency Situations" within the safe and hipster-accessible environment of Silverlake Lounge. This 30-minute multimedia presentation not only provides valuable information on coping with medical emergencies, but also offers a dramatic look at the evolving rivalry between contending spokesfigures, ABRAM THE SAFETY APE and RT the ROBOT TEACHER as well as a a glimpse into the curious psycho-spiritual rituals which make up daily life on the AoB compound hidden away on Mojave ranchlands and the debut of inappropriately clad NURSE SZANDORA LAVEY and NURSE ALSANA "RUNS WITH SCISSORS" SIN. Art of Bleeding will be followed by Denver's The Black Smiths (performing Smiths songs in the style of Black Sabbath, get it?) and another band called Bloody Mary (no relation). behind chimp superstar LANCELOT LINK's musical project. Other Bubblegum honorees scheduled to attend are Ron Dante (The Archies), Joey Levine (Ohio Express) and the perpetually silly Dr. Demento.
