Art of Bleeding presentations work very differently than normal classroom learning. They are based upon Lugner's cognitive principle of phantasmagoric acquisition, a model of learning in which information is imprinted much more suddenly and unforgettably than through conventional intellectual exercise. Analogy has been made to the flashes of insight sometimes gained by humans confronting life-threatening situations. We believe this mode of learning is a natural fit to the subject at hand.
